Sam Newton, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in 1980 from Texas A&M Kingsville. Recently, Sam completed his Masters in Business Administration in Finance, from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.

Sam is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas and has 25 years of experience in numerous phases in the oil and gas industry as well as other industries.  He has held numerous staff and leadership positions in engineering, operations, environmental/health/safety, and special projects. 

Over the years, Sam has developed excellent skills in management, leadership, planning, project management, teambuilding, organizational development, team facilitation, competency based recruiting, relationship development and public/motivational speaking. As the principle consultant for The Newton Group, Sam currently works with numerous senior business executives and their organizations to assist them in their strategy development, planning, organizational development, project management and leadership development.  He currently serves on two boards of directors offering his many years of business experience. Sam is a disciplined martial arts expert with a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has studied extensively in other arts as well.

As a professional public speaker, Sam draws on his many years of business experience, family life and martial arts training and studies to provide a blend of humorous and serious anecdotes to educate and motivate listeners.
